Dr. Ekwere J. Peters has over 35 years of petroleum engineering experience in field operations, petrophysics, higher education, and research. He was the holder of the Frank W Jessen Endowed Professorship and the George H. Fancher, Jr. Endowed Professorship in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin where he was a faculty member for over 31 years. From 1997–2001, he was the Chairman of the Department of Petroleum & Geosystems Engineering where he provided administrative and academic leadership to the highly ranked department. At the University of Texas, he taught courses in introduction to the petroleum industry, drilling and well completions, production technology and design, advanced pressure transient analysis, petroleum fluid properties, and advanced petrophysics. He has conducted numerous short courses for the petroleum industry in the Unites States, Canada, Nigeria, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Japan, Indonesia, Ecuador, and Trinidad & Tobago. A recognized expert in flow through porous media and petrophysics, he has published papers on various aspects of petroleum engineering based on the results of original research. Dr. Peters established a reputation as an excellent teacher early in his academic career and consistently received very high ratings for teaching effectiveness at the University of Texas and at industry short courses. He has won numerous awards for teaching and professional excellence including the prestigious Texas Excellence Teaching Award, the Petroleum Engineering Teaching Excellence Award in the Cockrell School of Engineering, the Society of Petroleum Engineers International Distinguished Achievement Award for Petroleum Engineering Faculty, and the Society of Petroleum Engineers Distinguished Member Award. His previous petroleum industry affiliations were with Shell-BP Petroleum Development Company Ltd (Nigeria) in drilling and well completions; United Petro Laboratories, Calgary as the manager of a PVT and Core Analysis Laboratory and Amoco Production Company, Houston in pressure transient analysis in tight gas sands.       When I came back to myself, my power had increased a thousandfold or more
      and I knew all I needed to know of the other two transformations, to set about
      working toward achieving each in its turn.



On and on Jef went pushing through light and dark- even on to the the second and yes astonishingly, even to the third great Transformation where:



     Something I have never bothered to mention is that the non-spatial continuum  
     may be manipulated in any way the fully transformed magician wills. The reason  
     I do not choose to do so is something of a paradox.
     The ability to manipulate time in order to serve the magician to his/her benefit  
     comes with the third Transformation. With the third transformation all reason for
     altering the continuum vanishes.
     My sponsor tried to teach me this many years ago: unfortunately, I was incapable  
     at that point of understanding, or appreciating the simple magic of concentric rings...



Jef went all the way, even to where visions of the forth great transformation and it's relationships began appearing in meditations:



     Wraith-like shadows, singing the coloured symbols I have yet to fully master,  
     float above, below, beside and through me, as though I am in a glorious waking
     dream.
     I now understand that the third Great Transformation is not a sudden change, but a

     universe, but also allows one to leave the alpha universes behind and begin anew
     in another existence entirely... if the initiate so desires.

I first became interested in handwriting analysis back in 2004 when I worked for a hospital care system whose corporate office had a particularly offensive person who caused many feuds among her co-workers. One day we were all signing a birthday card for a co-worker and I noted that they way she made the written letter 'y' was very unusual. Then, later I was sitting in a public library and saw a book at eye level about handwriting. I looked through it and decided I wanted to do some due diligence of handwriting instructors, so I went online and came across Bart Baggett's Handwriting University. I signed up to receive newsletters and for two years I simply studied what he wrote in the newsletters. I was monitoring others as well. I was so impressed that he and his father, Curt, and a system for correction of handwriting traits that were toxic. And in the process I finally understood that the person whom I worked with was definitely clannish in her behaviour and it could be seen in the way she made that little 'y' loop. I ordered this first book, studied it and bought his handwriting cards and was hooked on his and his father's ability to hit the nail on the head with the analysis. I signed up for his course and became certified as a handwriting expert and therapist. It has been one of the best decisions I ever made because now I'm not puzzled by people's behavior anymore. I can simply look at the handwriting and know what is going on and decided to step aside or engage them. I am so glade to get this book for my little Kindle and be able to share it with people who want to know more about it. Thanks Bart and Curt for changing my life.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it is absolutely imperative that I accurately assess each individual with whom I work. The most important aspect of creating an accurate assessment, and a full psychological profile, is the use of the appropriate tools for the particular job. Furthermore, the instruments utilized for the assessment should be used properly, as well. You wouldn't want your cardiologist relying on an X-ray of your leg to make a diagnosis, or prepare for your (God forbid) open heart surgery, any more than you would want me to actually perform the procedure, now would you?! Just as Intelligence, as measured by objective, normed instruments, are vital to the process, so, too, are personality factors, as measured by projective methods, such as the Rorschach Ink Blots, and handwriting analysis, hat take years, if not decades of practice to master (hence the reference to a counseling business as a "practice"). Kudos to Mr Baggett for making such a fine introduction to the art, and science, of handwriting analysis available to the consumer!

About the Author

STEPHEN MINOT, Professor Emeritus of Creative Writing at the University of California, Riverside, has been teaching creative writing for thirty years. A writer himself, Minot has authored three novels, two collections of short stories, and three textbooks. His latest text by Prentice Hall, LITERARY NONFICTION: THE FOURTH GENRE, is due in the Fall of 2002. His numerous short stories have appeared in such publications as The Atlantic, Harper's, The Kenyan Review, The Paris Review, and The Sewanee Review, among others. His work has been chosen to appear in The O. Henry Prize Stories collection, The Best American Short Stories, The Story, and New American Stories. Over the course of his career, Professor Minot has been the recipient of the Atlantic First Award as well as the Saxton Memorial Fellowship and the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship for writing.
